Jaisalmer faces a typical desert climate where summers are extremely hot with scorching heat and dry day and cool nights where as winters are quite cool and turbulent. In summers the temperature range between 47°C to 25°C whiles, in winters, temperature range from 23.6°C to -1°C.
The idle time to make a visit is winter seasons from October to March when it is quite pleasant.

Air: The nearest airport is Jodhpur (285 km). The visitors can board a flight to Jodhpur and can drive or take a train to Jaisalmer. The city is well connected by the flights to and from New Delhi, Jodhpur and Jaipur.
