Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On arrival at New Delhi airport you are met and assisted by our
representative. Then driven to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02. Delhi Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast start your city tour of Delhi, an imperial British
capital of the 20th century. Visit the magnificent Qutub Minar - the tallest
minaret built in red stone, Humayun's tomb - the first Mughal a worth
visiting sight, also drive pass the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the India Gate-take
a halt at the green gardens encircling the arch-gate.
After lunch visit the old city, enjoy the sight of majestic Red Fort and
Jama Masjid- great edifices of Mughal Empire built in red stone. Try out a
rickshaw ride through the winding streets of the old city, arriving at the
colorful bazaar of Chandani Chowk, thronged with people. Also visit Rajghat,
the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, from there you are taken to another
attraction of Delhi- the Birla Mandir and Lotus Temple. Later in the evening
enjoy the musical sound and light show at the Old Fort. Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 03: Delhi-Jaipur
Morning after typical Indian delicacies, start your journey for Rajasthan
Desert Tour. Proceed for Jaipur. Throughout your journey you will be
enthralled by the views of the countryside life on both sides of the road,
farmers working in the fields, cows and cattle's gazing nonchalantly, school
children making their way home. After 4-hour drive you are in Pink City of
Jaipur. Check in at the hotel and get ready for your half-day excursion to
Amber Fort on elephant safari. See the amazing Shish Mahal of 17th century
and Maharaja Man Singh's Palace who was also known for having 12 queens.
After lunch set off to see the Pink city, visiting the Jantar Mantar- an
observatory, then visit the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur with a
fabulous collection of robes and royal dresses of queens in silk with gold
latticework, enjoy the antiquity of the museum. Evening, strolls around the
bustling bazaars and watch the city life, the colorful people and of course
the camels roaming insouciantly. Dinner, at the hotel.
Day 04: Jaipur- Jaisalmer
Morning proceed for Jaisalmer, after reaching check in the hotel. Morning
an exclusive visit of the Jain temples inside the Sonar Kila. Visit the
citadel's palace that houses a museum with a huge collection of robes and
artifacts from the royal family of Jaisalmer. Visit the Patwaon ki haveli
with intricately designed latticed windows used by the ladies to view the
day to day life of the city. Also see the Gadisar Lake. Overnight at
Jaisalmer.
Day 05: Jaisalmer- Sam Sand Dunes
Morning, proceed for your Desert Safari. In the Far West of Rajasthan lies
the Thar Desert adjoining the golden city of Jaisalmer, it is where your
desert safari begins.
Take a four-wheel power drive and proceeds towards Sam Sand Dunes, the
distance is almost 45km to the exotic Sam. Sam is a rather barren stretch
with almost no vegetation. Retire to a tent to rest and enjoy watching
majestic shifting of sand shimmered under the glow of the hot and
comfortable winter sun.
You will be wonder struck at the sight that how this barren sand dune keep
changing color and the shadows keep shifting every minute giving a feel that
an artist is creating a masterpiece. Take a bashing four-wheel power drive
up to the sand dunes, it is just fabulous feeling to ride high and then
driving down on the dunes with a very high speed. Every moment this speedy
ride gives the feeling of turning down of the vehicle, nothing can be more
adventurous then this. After the hearty meal, there is another round of
admiring nature, the culture, the people-there way of life, admire the folk
singers dressed in their usual gaghra- choli, and typical local musical
instruments like dholaks and sarangi. Also visit Khuri, a small Rajput
village near the Sam, enjoy the village life, the people who have never left
the desert, many not ever having visited Jaisalmer itself. Their children
will welcome you in their unique way with true desert hospitality.
A memorable evening awaits you in the camp accommodation. Watch the sun set
over the golden sand while listening to the flute played by one of the
locals. Relax on commodious Indian style beds named "charpais"(jute
beds), maybe with a glass of beer or a cup of hot coffee The camp is lit
with oil lamps and a bonfire will add to the atmosphere. Dinner with
delicious barbecue will be accompanied by music from the Manganiyar
musicians. With the ever-increasing rhythm of the drums, the dancers whirl
faster and faster around the bonfire, just a magnificent sight that has to
be seen to be believed. As the sun sets, million of twinkling stars took
center stage, enjoy the romance and the mystery of such a night. Overnight
at the camp.
Day: 06 Jaisalmer- Delhi.
Morning drive back to Delhi, after reaching you will be transferred to the
airport for you're on ward destination.
