Samode
is situated in the Indian state of Rajasthan around 42 km from Jaipur to
which it is connected through a well developed network of roads. Samode lies
on way to Shekhawati and tour of Samode will take you to majestic haveli and
fort for which Samode is renowned. Samode is often referred as a desert
getaway as during daytime one can go for a camel ride through the village
and the surrounding countryside. The camel ride in Samode is a great way to
explore the village and the unique customs and traditions prevalent here. A
tour to Samode is incomplete without a musical evening of folk dances and
songs where Rajasthani bands and musicians with their colorful dresses and
rare musical instruments provide one of the best evenings one can have in
India. Along with the band the villagers sing under the starlit sky. Tour Attractions in Samode
Samode Palace
Samode Palace dates back to more than four and a half centuries when Prithviraj Singhji of Amber had awarded Samode to one of his twelve sons - Gopal Singhji along with the hereditary title of Rawal Saheb. The palace is located amidst stunning rocky hills and offers a grand journey into the splendid glory of its majestic past.

The palace provides an insight into the architectural splendour of the bygone era especially in the Sultan Mahal where birds, animals and flowers are painted on the walls, the dining room with its stained glass windows and its collection of old family portraits, the Durbar Hall with its painted ceilings and intricately carved walls and beautiful chandeliers.
Today the palace has been converted into an heritage hotel where traditional Rajasthani style and antique furniture merging well with the surroundings have been used to decorate each of the rooms here. One can even ask for a traditional welcome with camel carts, buggies, elephants and local musicians. Besides these, camel safaris are also available here.
Samode Bagh

This beautiful garden was built more than 400 years ago by Rawal Sheo Singhji and has been constructed on the geometric style of the Mughal Gardens. In the olden times, members of the Samode family used to come here to spend some moments of privacy and relax in the airy pavilions, surrounded by rippling water fountains.
One of the rare features of the stay here is the accommodation facilities provided in the tents. The Meeting point at the Bagh is the elegantly furnished Durbar tent where Dune coloured tents, furnished with every comfort, the lawns, fruit trees, grape vines, and the flowering shrubs make the stay here one to cherished for ever. In the evenings there is local folk music and dances in the magic of a camp fire.
One can even have a swim in the private pool or take camel rides to explore the countryside. Other entertainment activities available here include camel safaris, a visit to the village and the Samode Palace which is just 3 kms away.
